Aleksander Laszenko (Annówka 1883 - 1944 Włocławek) – Polish artist, painter, traveler, co-founder of the Association of Artists from Kujawy. In the years 1901-1904 he studied painting at the St. Petersburg Academy of Fine Arts. In 1904 he graduated from the Constantine School of Artillery in St. Petersburg. As one of the few Polish painters, he dealt with almost exclusively exotic topics. The effect of his trip to Africa and the Middle East were paintings depicting scenes from the life of the natives, exotic animals, nature, architecture of old cities. His works have been shown many times at exhibitions in Poland (including the Municipal Art Gallery in Łódź) and abroad.
